Masonry support

The term masonry supportment refers to the fixing of highly fired bricks with supporting and retaining anchors in the double-shell wall construction of the façade. Real clinker bricks are simply the optimal facade cladding. This was already known in the period from 1870 to 1914, when clinker bricks (bricks fired at high temperatures), which were produced and processed with great dimensional accuracy, were particularly sought after for facades. This means that in addition to the dimensionally stable brick, the joints were also narrow and precisely laid out in order to be visually pleasing as an exposed masonry in addition to its frost resistance. Such a high-quality facing must be fixed with high-strength and slim stainless steel fastening systems.
MODERSOHN has been offering masonry supportment made of stainless steel for over 40 years.

Since 2006, MODERSOHN has also been using high-strength and stainless Lean Duplex steels, which enable a very slim design of the clinker brick support and thus significantly reduce procurement costs and thermal conductivity values.
