In 2002, Wilhelm Modersohn became aware of the SAF2304 (1.4362) material through Avesta in Sweden. In 2003 Modersohn introduced the first Lean Duplex steel for system products in the German market for fastening systems.

As an independent representative of fastening systems from the company Lutz from Wertheim, Wilhelm Modersohn sen. had recognised early on that there was a great demand in the market for fastenings in the area of masonry facades. In March 1970, he and two employees founded the company, which today has over 140 employees.

The solution for concrete fastening
The European technically approved anchor channel MBA-CE is used as a fastening for installation parts in in-situ concrete or as an installation part in the precast element and offers a horizontal or vertical adjustment possibility depending on the installation situation.
MOSO® MHK hammer-head / hook head screws are used as fasteners. MODERSOHN offers all common cold-formed anchor channel profiles in 1.4062 D4 (Lean Duplex steel) or 1.4462 D6 (Duplex steel). MOSO® MBA rails are manufactured, among others, from the Lean Duplex steel 1.4362, which we have introduced and which is technically superior to A4/A5 steels.
