Musée cantonal des Beaux Arts, Lausanne

The "Musée cantonal des Beaux Arts de Lausanne" by the architectural firm Barozzi Veiga emerged from an international competition to redesign the art district.

The Musée cantonal des Beaux Arts de Lausanne reflects the old industrial state of the site. The closed south façade shields the museum's exhibition area from the noise of the rail traffic, while the louvred façade in the north breaks through the massiveness of the monolith and thus fits perfectly into the newly created art district. For the impressive façade, MODERSOHN supplied, among other things, various Angle brackets, precast fixings and the MOSO^® perforated tape as Masonry reinforcement.
