Pressure transmitting insulation

In order to fix the facade cladding with the slimmest possible fixing cross-section of metal (or stainless steel) in the façade area, it is advisable to supplement or replace the fixing components with a much less heat conducting material. Compressive loads, diagonal pull or shear loads can also be absorbed with the aid of e.g. plastics.

A prerequisite is that the material has, in addition to sufficient values for thermal separation, a corresponding load-bearing capacity, environmental resistance and service life. Alternatively, it is also possible to make the façade support and retaining anchors slimmer by using improved material strength, e.g. with stainless Lean Duplex steels, and improved construction details, thus reducing thermal bridges.
MODERSOHN does both in parallel. This is how the pressure transmitting insulation material MOSOTHERM was developed.
