In 2002, Wilhelm Modersohn became aware of the SAF2304 (1.4362) material through Avesta in Sweden. In 2003 Modersohn introduced the first Lean Duplex steel for system products in the German market for fastening systems.

As an independent representative of fastening systems from the company Lutz from Wertheim, Wilhelm Modersohn sen. had recognised early on that there was a great demand in the market for fastenings in the area of masonry facades. In March 1970, he and two employees founded the company, which today has over 140 employees.

Project description
New construction of the 4-star Hotel Titanic on Chausseestraße in Berlin-Mitte.
The building was completed in the 1st quarter of 2015 and has 388 rooms on five hotel floors. There are sloping flat ornamental panels next to the window openings.
The prefabricated elements were manufactured and installed with MODERSOHNS suspended Tie rods by Geithner Bau. A special challenge was the geometry of the slabs due to their slanted shape. For this, MODERSOHN supplied concrete fastening parts such as suspension Tie rods, pressure screws and toothed retaining anchors.
