In 2002, Wilhelm Modersohn became aware of the SAF2304 (1.4362) material through Avesta in Sweden. In 2003 Modersohn introduced the first Lean Duplex steel for system products in the German market for fastening systems.

As an independent representative of fastening systems from the company Lutz from Wertheim, Wilhelm Modersohn sen. had recognised early on that there was a great demand in the market for fastenings in the area of masonry facades. In March 1970, he and two employees founded the company, which today has over 140 employees.

Project description
The "Musée cantonal des Beaux Arts de Lausanne" by the architectural firm Barozzi Veiga emerged from an international competition to redesign the art district.
The Musée cantonal des Beaux Arts de Lausanne reflects the old industrial state of the site. The closed south façade shields the museum's exhibition area from the noise of the railway traffic, while the louvre façade in the north breaks through the massiveness of the monolith and thus fits perfectly into the newly created art quarter. For the impressive façade, MODERSOHN supplied, among other things, various Angle brackets, precast fixings and the MOSO® perforated tape as Masonry reinforcement.
