The headquarters of the family-run business Cup & Cino is a striking landmark in the heart of the large municipality of Hövelhof, which forms part of the district of Paderborn. The modern building complex combines the centrepiece of the headquarters – the innovative ‘Coffee Competence Centre’ – with a spacious exhibition area, versatile event spaces for up to 200 people, and integrated production areas.
For owner Frank Epping, as an entrepreneur with deep local roots, it was particularly important to remain loyal to the site and to his home town of Hövelhof.
The connection to the world of coffee was also to be reflected in the architecture. The designers therefore opted for a distinctive façade of red clinker brick and striking round-arched windows, reminiscent of the historic aesthetic of Hamburg’s Speicherstadt, now bringing this special flair to East Westphalia.
