Shear cuts

For strip cuts where no special quality requirements are placed on the cut edge, the guillotine shear is still the cheapest and fastest means of production. Our guillotine shears cut Stainless steel up to a material thickness of 5 mm. During the cutting process the cut sheet metal strips are immediately straightened.

We process sheet metal formats up to 2,000 x 4,000 mm on the guillotine shears shown.

Longer lengths than 4,000 mm are also possible. On our notchers we can shear off Stainless steel sheet thicknesses up to 10 mm and 90° corners up to leg lengths of 290 / 290 mm. The sectional steel shears can shear off round steel up to a diameter of 45 mm, flat steel up to a material thickness of 20 mm and angle sections up to dimensions of 120 / 120 / 12 mm. The maximum width for flat profiles is 500 mm.

Advantages

in cases where a simple straight cut is sufficient, e.g. for sheet metal strips, cutting with guillotine shears is still the cheapest cutting option
although the cut edge is slightly squashed, it has no thermal changes, so that post-processing by machining is unproblematic
in addition to the straight 3 or 4-metre cut lengths, smaller blanks can also be sheared off at the notcher or even profiles
for large series we have 2 slit strip processing lines (with up to 120 strokes per minute), on which series blanks can be sheared off at high speed
