Windposts

MOSO® windpost fixings

Windposts are profile constructions as a base for holding the facing shell, when fixing to the supporting foundation is only possible laterally on the ground floor level.

Frequently, the infill panel (wall elements between the concrete pillars and concrete surfaces) of the reinforced concrete framework
is made of lightweight material, in which no load-bearing fixing can be mounted. These are usually mounted with wall distance profiles on the ceiling, so that the vertical mounting channels, consisting of a rectangular tube or U-profiles can be arranged in front of the thermal insulation in the cavity. The brick tie anchors are attatched to this.

The brick tie anchors can be mounted continuously in a C-profile channel, so that the bricklayer can insert the anchor end exactly in the right horizontal joint during the laying of the facing shell.

ADVANTAGES

Your advantages:

  • A very flexible solution for bridging areas which cannot be fixed
  • A sufficiently large height adjustment of the brick tie anchors ensures trouble-free insertion when laying the higher facing shell walls
  • When Modersohn takes care of the planning, our Z-30.3-19 officially approved resistance class III high-strength lean duplex steels can be used. This allows a significant reduction of the profile cross-sections due to viable higher static E-modulus values (200 kN/mm² for D4 steel instead of 170 kN/mm for A4 steel)

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

Wall clearances 105 - 370 mm (> on request)
Material stainless steel, corrosion resistance class (CRC) III
(further corrosion resistance classes on demand)
Validation static calculation

USE AND APPLICATION

  • These profile constructions are often used for masonry support when, for example, for the use of lightweight construction walls no sustainable background is present and/or the building is exposed to strong wind loads.
  • A fixing of the construction on the reinforced concrete surface ensures that larger areas are bridged vertically and loads are absorbed floor by floor. Therefore, one speaks of a kind of "bridge between the ceilings."
HV-A

Fascia facing - Horizontal connection HV-A

The MOSO® horizontal connection HV-A is the fascia restraint anchor around cracks, that can occur due to different movements of  flat roofs and facing. Since the anchor is attached below the flat roof support, the movements of the flat roof have no affect on the facing.

ADVANTAGES

Your advantages:

  • The MOSO® HV-A is ideal for accommodating the thermal movement of the facing shell in fascia areas.
The displacement in the C-channel to the wall connection anchors can move freely up and down
  • Wall clearances of more than 200 mm, due to increased thermal insulation, are possible. In addition to the MOSO® retaining anchor, we take care of separate itemisation of air space wire stays based on DIN EN 1996-2/NA

HV-T

Horizontal connection with joint - HV-T

The MOSO® horizontal connection HV-T is a trapezoidal joint anchor, which makes the normally required bracing superfluous.
Thanks to the the articulated connection, different movements of the outer and inner shell are compensated.

ADVANTAGES

Your advantages:

  • The MOSO® HV-T has only one elongated slot instead of 2 closely fitting sitting joints (as in other systems), which shorten with movement and thus build up tension. Thus, the threaded wire can move freely with the thermal motion of the facing shell without length reduction.
  • The production of the elongated hole in the trapezoidal sheet is very accurate thanks to laser cutting, so the mandatory maximum slip of 1mm between hole edge and wire is ensured.

HV-L

Air layer eyelet anchors for subsequent fixing - Horizontal connection HV-L

The MOSO® horizontal connection HV-L is the air layer eyelet anchor for the subsequent connection of cavity walls according to
DIN EN 1996-2/NA.The demolition of the old facing shell during restoration is not necessary since the anchoring can be done through the old shell. Likewise, these anchors can be placed in difficult anchoring bases when the sustainability is proved by tensile tests.

ADVANTAGES

Your advantages:

  • Particularly suitable for façade restoration, since the wire stay with bent eyelet can be combined with the matching plugs for the frames i.e. the outer structures
  • Quick and easy installation
