Stainless steel profiles now available in duplex steels such as standard duplex 1.4462 or super duplex 1.4410.
As an alternative to 1.4404 or 1.4571, now with the new stainless steels such as lean duplex steels nos. 1.4062, 1.4162, 1.4362, 1.4482, 1.4662. These steels have at least the same corrosion resistance, more than double the basic strength, a significantly higher fatigue strength and, due to lower alloy components, a lower material price and alloy surcharge. We manufacture stainless steel profiles out of folded or bent sheet metal quickly and reliably.
We can handle sheet thicknesses from 0.5 up to 20 mm. Depending on the profile design, lengths of up to 4000, 6000 or 12,000 mm are possible. Our presses enable a highly accurate forming, up to +/- 0.3 ° angle accuracy of the stainless steel profiles.
Thus it is possible to produce very precise profiles, from polygon to the hollow bodies within the sheet thickness tolerances.
We also produce steel rods and special profiles, whether rolled, drawn or laser welded. As an approved welding company with the major safety certificate acc. to DIN 18800-7 and various additional evidence, we are allowed to lengthen statically and dynamically loaded profiles in the joint area. So we can also cost-effectively produce special lengths from shorter stock lengths. Special formats for flat steel bars and thick profiled rods can be delivered quickly and cheaply as laser or water jet cuts. The „folding“ with folding blade and prism on a mechanical or hydraulic press is currently the most widely used deformation process for metal sheets or panels. The hydraulic brake presses used by Modersohn can form aluminum blanks quickly and accurately, for example, to an angle, U-profile, Z-profile or cap profile (C-profile). Holes and recesses can be already be made during cutting with the laser or water jet cutting system.
The „folding“ with folding blade and prism on a mechanical or hydraulic press is currently the most widely used deformation process for metal sheets or panels. The hydraulic brake presses used by Modersohn can form sheets or panels made of stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and other metals quickly and precisely according to customer requirements. Thanks to automatic crowning and laser scanning during the folding processes, particularly precise folds up to +/- 0.2 ° angle accuracy are also possible. Modersohn manufactures various precision profiles for mounting in measuring devices in plants and mechanical engineering.
